Religion Rugby, a story from the heart
Military personnel or other insiders will recognize an explicit nod to the soldier's code. Indeed, upon enlistment, all military personnel are given a code of honor that reminds them of the foundations of their profession and the conduct it entails.
The 10 commandments also refer to the written set of moral and religious instructions received, according to biblical traditions, from God by Moses on Mount Sinai.
Adapted to rugby, these commandments, though full of humor, reflect behavior based on simple values that are sometimes left on the bench, if not in the changing room.
Army, Rugby and Faith
Having worn the same blood and gold colors of Fuxéen, Julien and Jean-Charles wanted to build a story of heart and friendship together, bringing them closer.
One a soldier, the other a professional rugby player, they decided to use textiles as a chic and impactful communication medium to convey the values they hold dear.
Commandments
I. In the service of his village, town, or country, the rugby player is entirely dedicated, on any pitch, against any opponent
II. He plays his match with the will to win and conquer, and if necessary, at the peril of his physical integrity
III. Master of his strength, he respects his opponent, does not trample him, and takes care to spare spectators from his destructive tackles
IV. He obeys his coach's instructions, the referee's rules, and the federation's customs
V. He shows initiative and adapts to his opponents' play in all circumstances
VI. Professional or amateur rugby player, he maintains his physical abilities and develops his competence and moral strength
VII. A member of a solid and fraternal team, he acts with honor, frankness, and loyalty
VIII. Attentive to others and determined to overcome difficulties, he works for the cohesion and dynamism of his team
IX. He is open to the world and society and respects their differences
X. He will give without counting and until the early morning will fittingly celebrate the third half
The checkerboard pattern, found on all our polo shirts and t-shirts, is a reference to Two Tone, a British music label created in 1979 by The Specials founder Jerry Dammers.
The two tones can be understood in several ways.
Visually, the Two-Tone label's logo represents a checkerboard or just a strip of tiles.
This explains the ideological basis of the 2-tone movement: colors united. Slogans such as "music against racism" are highly representative of the movement.
The association of chessboards with Religion Rugby aims to show that morality and its universal values transcend all differences.
