Joe Tekori, the Samoan warrior
Josefa Tekori was born on December 17, 1983, in Moto'otua, Samoa. This Samoan player, who plays as a lock, quickly integrated into the French rugby scene, leaving his mark during his time at Castres Olympique and at Stade Toulousain since 2013. Having won a French championship title with each of his respective clubs, Joe Tekori is a giant full of values, as impressive as he is generous. Energizing the game with his agility and physical density, he is also a vector of cohesion and good humor within a team. With extensive experience in international competitions, he earned his first international cap with Samoa on May 26, 2017, against the All Blacks' reserve team. He scored his team's only try in the 43-5 defeat against France in the test match on November 21, 2009. He played in the 2007, 2011, and 2015 World Cups and participated in the Pacific Nations Cup, which he won in 2012.
A loyal supporter since the brand's creation in 2011, Joe Tekori is launching a collection with a strong Maori identity, paying tribute to all the islanders who fight on rugby fields to elevate global rugby.
