A strong initiative led by OPH de l'Ariège

Religion Rugby had the pleasure of partnering with OPH de l'Ariège, the organization that manages the departmental public housing stock, for a day dedicated to discovering rugby in the heart of the neighborhoods. Organized in the Cité Pierre Faur in Foix, this initiative brought together many children and families around sports, educational, and convivial activities.

Under a spring sun, participants were able to enjoy rugby workshops led by qualified instructors, inflatable structures, and a first aid training workshop. The objective was clear: to offer a moment of sharing and learning accessible to all, in a spirit of proximity and openness.

This action fully illustrates OPH de l'Ariège's desire to energize neighborhood life and foster social connection through unifying events.

Rugby, a vector of integration and transmission

Beyond the playful aspect, this day highlighted the essential values of rugby: respect, solidarity, team spirit, and self-transcendence. These values echo the commitment of Religion Rugby, a brand deeply attached to rugby culture and its educational role.

The children, who came in large numbers, were able to discover this sport in a benevolent, supervised, and accessible setting. Rugby thus becomes a formidable tool for social integration, promoting encounters between residents, intergenerational sharing, and the building of a collective spirit.

The afternoon concluded with a snack prepared by the residents and the social center of Courbet, followed by a gift-giving ceremony for the participants, with the support of Religion Rugby. A simple but symbolic moment that underlines the importance of collective effort and local commitment.

An exemplary approach that continues in Tarascon-sur-Ariège

Religion Rugby wishes to commend the commitment of OPH de l'Ariège for this meaningful initiative. By offering this type of event in the heart of the neighborhoods, the organization actively contributes to strengthening social cohesion and offering young people positive experiences through sports.

This great momentum does not stop there. A second rugby day is planned for April 22nd in Tarascon-sur-Ariège, with the same desire to bring together, animate, and transmit the values of sport to as many people as possible.

Religion Rugby is proud to have been a partner in this action and to participate, on its own scale, in promoting accessible, popular rugby that fosters social connection. Because rugby is not only played on a field, but also in the heart of territories and communities.
